Yes. Correct. I particuarly like the Colony Parks. Bought a '84, used in 1989. Drove it for a week, then it burned up on me in Las Vegas due to an electrical short. Never got to enjoy it.

    Krash Kadilla, what a pity!

Did the insurance paid you anything?

Yup. It was all covered (I work in insurance claims). Only bad part was that i had to get a rental car in Vegas to drive home, them 3 weeks later when the insurance company settled, I had to drive the rental car back to Vegas, then fly home to avoid a $200 rental company 'drop off' fee......

Dd the drive on a Friday afternoon from Orange County, CA - took me 3 hrs and 20 minutes. Was back home that evening.

Fortunately!!! We have a saying here: dog doesn't bite dog. It means that people in the same or similar jobs try not to make each other "displeased".

Let me try to do some maths:

    • gasoline for the journey OC-LasVegas (+ toll?) + full gasoline tank to be left for the rental company + flight ticket < US$200 ?

Gas for the rental to Vegas (back in '89 remember) - maybe $30 - $35. Plane flight was around $65 if I remember correctly. so total maybe $100 or so.
