Hey wagon guys, for the next day or so I will sell this baby for $4,750.00 as shown w/Z28 wheels OR w/stock steel wheels/hubcaps,(but note that 1 factory hubcap is missing though and tires will not be very good)- I'll will take $4,350.00 for it like this.

Even though it has been advertised previously,I haven't really cared if I sold it or not to be honest and I really hoped to get more $ for it if I did sell it but I won/bought another car yesterday off of eBay that the wife does not know about so need to move something(I have offered a handful of cars priced below what they r really worth but only going to just let one go that's priced way tooo cheap like I think that this one is)!

    THIS IS A "DEAL" AND U KNOW IT FOR A '76 "CLAM" W/66K ACT.MLS!!!

Yes,it has its "picks" but what vehicle doesn't for this kind of $(ESPECIALLY IF ONE IS PRICED WAY TOOO CHEAP)!

    1976 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Wagon[1Owner Wgn-ONLY 66K ACT.MLS]!

Wgn.runs/drives GREAT,it has new paint,it needs lite TLC from it previously sitting for 5 years(nothing major though),I have rear tailgate trim/new paper that will be included in sale, also,I have roof rack that will also been included in sale if wanted.

Wgn.spent its entire life in Houston Tx,it had only one previous owner,it's all original except for aftermarket 2 knob,SS red strg.wheel, and Z28 wheels w/rt.@ brand new tires.

1976 Caprice Wagon's r the "holy grail" of the 71-76 "CLAMSHELL" wagon's! AND THE PRICE IS EXTRA RIGHT!!! (A similar one on eBay had bids up to $12,800.00 last month but didn't sell b/c its owner wants 15 grand for it)!

Interior has some mildew on cloth on seats in some places(as shown) but surely there r some different types of cleaners that will remove this!

    NOW OFFERED @ $6,350.00-THIS IS A STEAL!!!

$6,350.00 was price in an old listing.

Clamshell I hope we have gotten over our little Tif! Ok i like this one but the biggest problem seems to be around the mold on the cloth. Have you tried to clean this with any thing like steam or chemicals? I think most here like this car but this a real sticking point. If I knew that it did not need to be guttered to be put right, I might think about this one more seriously. Also I know it was in the paint shop, do you have before and after pics?

Also one pic has wood on the tailgate and one does not, which one is current?

I also have no further Tif, yet the mold issue is a factor and has come up before with this car. These are also very out dated old pics, can you provide pics of the car interior as it looks today?

Honestly,I have not tried to clean interior for 2 years now ever since I first had bought the car.

Someone told me to try vinegar with something else (?) but I can't remember what the something else was-??.

But,here is the deal(@ least the way that I see it).

@ $4,750.00/$4,350.00, I AM PAYING FOR WHATEVER NEEDS TO BE DONE TO CAR(someone can go crazy and spend a couple of grand on it if needed, have $6,500.00'ish in it,and it's still 1/2 price of the one in Illinois(or,actually what that one's bidding went up to on eBay,Mike wants like 15 Grand for that one if memory serves me right)!

Come on man,I'm sure that u know every "clamshell" that has been up for sale(just like I do) for the past few years and for a 1976 Caprice Estate Wagon w/one of the BEST color combo's ever,LOW mls, high options(3rd row seat),what can u compare it to @ this price?

I got a GR8 deal on the car! And the $ that I've spent on it so far has been wisely spent on it b/c I know how to get things done @ a wholesale level and I'm 100% that if I didn't already own it and I saw it in this condition @ this price,I would jump allover it!

Last,I haven't ever offered/sold a "clam" this CHEAP so far! Again,I am in this baby right though!

"Before Pics"- man,if u type in 1976 Caprice Estate on the net, there r several "b4" pics.of it floating around(I have seen them myself).

I have the same pics.in my old computer that r floating on net but I'm having trouble getting my old computer to power on or else I would send them to you.

Car had lite rust issue in my opinion(remember, this is a life-long Houston Tx car,not some car from like New York,Chicago,or Minnesota where rust had eaten it up).

And no,I don't have a problem with you.

I just put car on here b/c if I do sell it a true wagon lover should end up with it.

The only thing that I do not personally like about it is the woodgrain(I am not a woodgrain type of guy) but it's a Caprice Estate so I had to leave it on there, wanted to keep that part original.

@ Fat Tedy, like I previously noted to The Premier, even if someone wants to have seats completely recovered(which would be a shame to do if u ask me),I'm covering this expense technically @ my new price(s).

No pedal pics, No Odometer pics, And MOLD/Mildew! YUK!

Car will have to be gutted and complete interior replaced. A "recover" does not get mold/mildew out of foam, and interior insulation/sound deadener. Not trying to degrade the car, just speaking the truth.

@ WAGONKILLER What I see is,u r a guy who is just running his mouth,a guy who has nothing better to do!

    WHY,B/C PRICE,PRICE,PRICE,PRICE,PRICE,PRICE,PRICE,PRICE!!!!!!!!

    HELLO!!!

AM I ASKING 10 GRAND FOR THE CAR WITH ISSUES,MOLD,ETC?

    NO,I AM NOT!

AND I'M SURE ALONG WITH YOURSELF,OTHERS ON HERE MAY THINK THAT I AM BEING RUDE BUT AFTER I HAVE LOWERED MY PRICE TO A "GIVE-AWAY PRICE" AND AFTER WE ALL KNOW WHAT THESE 1976 CAPRICE ESTATE'S AVERAGELY DO,AND THEN TO HEAR YOU COMPLAIN/"CRY" OF STUPID BS,WELL I'LL JUST BE POLITE AS I AN BE HERE AND KEEP MY FEELINGS OF WHAT I THINK ABOUT YOU TO MYSELF!

I GUESS FOR YOU,BUILDING A "RUST BUCKET" CAR WOULD BE EASIER THEN DEALING W/MOLDED SEATS?

    WHY DON'T U RE-READ EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE STATED IN PREVIOUS POSTS(B/C I HAVE STATED A LOT).

THE WAY YOU SOUND,IF ANY CAR WAS GIVEN TO YOU "FREE" YOU WOULD STILL COMPLAIN ABOUT IT!!!

I strongly urge you to buck up buttercup and speak your mind.

Its moldy you cannot get rid of it without changing the interior and it can and WILL make some people gravely ILL.

I paid 2800 for mine and no it wasn't rusty. It wasn't a moldy POS and I still removed and reinstalled the interior to reseal floors the sealant had released from, Rustproof the floors to prevent any rust and resealed all the windows. My car is nicer than this so I am crying about?

It's not a giveaway price simply because it's moldy. It has to be stripped(completely) and just where in the world are they going to find a complete interior as nice as the car is.

And yes if you "gave me the car" I would take it sure! and then I would sell it to a derby guy that is not allergic to mold(like I am) to strip it out and send it where it belongs!

The only reason 74-76 chevy clams are worth more is because most derby guys feel they are tougher than the BOP's because they are shorter. Personally I had no problem kicking azz in any GM clam so it didn't matter to me!

So to sum it up I SAID "not degrading the car" (you did read what I wrote right?)

and please feel free to "express how you feel about me yourself" and let me do what I do best :)

and no I don't think your being rude just very unrealistic

To keep the pot stirred, I looked at the ads for this and your other vehicles. The ads are very weak and vehicles are overpriced. Your red wagon looks nice. I could get into the bug or the ghia, but at those prices I would expect to drive it home.

    Good luck.
