Apparently they are popular with Japanese surfers. Heres a Buick Century wagon show video.

Oh and for anyone interested, the song they use on the video is "Never Throw Your Dreams Away" by Joanie Somers from the mid 1960's. She was better known for the 1962 hit song, "Johnny Get Angry".

I always thought those were cute little cars. A friend's father had one when we were kids. Really got a kick out of seeing Cragar SS's on one in this vid.

Didn't listen to the song, but I recognize the name of Joanie Somers though - she went to my high school (well before I attended.....)

So....did they have a sale on white paint???:49:
I love these Buick Centuries. I know, I know....they're FWD....but I still love driving them and would have one if I found one at the right price & condition. I had one with the 3800 engine and it was FAST!:D

Well, at least some young folks in Japan have a sense of style. At least they're not driving Elements, Cubes or some of the distgustingly modified vehicles they have over there.

Nice Buicks. I'm amazed they all seem to be young kids. I guess they are smarter than their American counterparts, after all.

Wonder why they're all Buick Centurys? No Pontiac 6000's, Olds Cieras, Chevy Celebritys - all were available with woodgrain.....

In this video of the Buick club cruise in Japan theres a Roadmaster wagon as well. Must be the biggest car on the road there.

Nice old cars. I always liked the a-body wagons. I still have two, but 20+ Michigan winters has really taken their toll on them.

I really like those Buicks. I know virtually nothing about them, to be honest, even though I was buying one once from my parents. A Buick Century, not a wagon, but one hell of a car, nonetheless. I never got it. I had one more payment and it was mine but it got broad-sided by a guy in a Chevy pickup that was showing off. :naughty:

Smarter than their American counterparts! I resent that! :rofl2:
Hey owning a wagon just gives you a sense of camaraderie, security, and safety. I think that it is awesome. Good on them. (y)
