Anyone here know how I can make my wagon handle better? I would like for it handle like it's glued to the road.
well now lets see hear now bubba if ya jack up the ashtray and drive a nextel cup car underneath i reckon she would handle good ,,,,, but seriously the current issue of popular hotrodding or car craft i think had an article i breezed through real quickly,,,( i should have bought it ) of a guy with a full size 80,s ford wagon full size of course and it was set up to handle ,,,there was a picture or two of him drivin it like he just robbed a licker store,,,,,ooopps i mean he was autocrossing it and in the article there was a breakdown of the modifications done to the car,,,,the point is the two cars,,, yours and the ford in question have some similarities ( big )and the things to make it handle well were layed out pretty well as far as a direction to go on yours ,,,,,a pro touring nice handling big ol boat would be way to cool
I seen the video of that Ford wagon on youtube and that thing flat out gets the job done on the autocross course.
ok thats the one in the magazine,,,, i just dont recall if it was car craft popular hot rodding or what ,, i usually buy any magazine that has wagon stuff in it regardless of which one it is,,,,,the article was pretty informative ,,,,dang it now i,m gonna buy it
Adding a larger front anti-sway bar and a rear bar make the biggest difference IMHO. Better shocks are another item to look at.
yup...sway bars...handling coils...good shocks ... fat lil tires.... and hammered about 3 inches!!!!!! that'l do er I did a 86 Caprice wagon for a pal a while back..she cornered!!
