Congrats Rick. I knew you'd make it. In talking to you on the cell and through all the texts, I could tell nothing was going to stop you from making it to Tennessee. It was fun for me getting all your updates and it was at the point where whenever I'd start wondering what you were up to, I'd get a text saying you made it another 100 miles. Great job and a great memory for you. You'll sure have a story to tell your grandkids.
well....at least the Ice Cream truck music wasnt stuck on the whole way !!! so bro...whats the next adventure??? .... a moped you left in the garage??.. Way to go Rick !!!.....glad you made it somewhat unscathed
Man, I didn't think of that. I should have installed a pa and played music down the highway. It's funny you mentioned moped. I used to have a Jincheng 50 which was a knock off of a Honda Z50 and thought about convincing some buddies to get some and do a trip. It was street legal and the furthest I drove it was about 10 miles though.
I remember reading an article in a boating magazine about somebody taking a jet ski all the way from New Jersey to Florida on the intra coastal waterway. Yikes. that certainly sounds exhausting, but probably a heck of a lot of fun as well.
I believe I talked to that guy back in the late 90's when I lived in South Florida. He was planning a ride from Central Florida to Cuba and I was considering tagging along on my Waverunner but didn't have the cash at the time to modify mine with a larger tank to make the trip. He made it there and back by himself with no chase boat.
didnt we see that in dumb and dumber? where did you live in South Florida? i remember my dad toyed with the idea of riding to Bimini on his waverunner.
Pompano Beach for 37 years. I also toyed with the Bimini idea since it was closer than Cuba and not technically illegal like Cuba. I had a few friends that would do it all the time in their fishing boats but I couldn't find anyone else to go along with it.
