sounds good. i'm shooting for spring carlise and the pumpkin run as my top choices. some say fall is better but i think the determining factor is how good the weather is come april. i found out too late about them last year and couldn't get the car in shape to know i'd get there and back without any problems. this year i'm going to plan a little better.

Mike, count me in for Dearborn in June. I have a plan and will start collecting parts for it soon.

not exactly sure but it's a big junkyard i think. the owner has this event and you get a lot of different cars, truck, tractors, and unique vehicles. from pictures that i've seen the property has numerous old cars, and antique automobile memoribilia. here are some pics from another site whose members went. (hope i'm not breaking any rules here)

You bet, Fox! I will move heaven and earth to make that gig! :burnout:

My wagon is still in bare metal, so I have my work cut out for me, but it's good to have a goal to shoot for. :whew:

One way or another, I will make this show! (y)

If you can get it to primer even...that would be cool. I'm telling you, wix...that wagon will steal the show!(y)

OOPS!......OK, we seem to have a conflict already. I wanted to attend both the ASWOA show in Dearborn and the GM Nationals in Carlisle. Seems they are both on the same weekend!
The ASWOA show only lists June 26th as the date and the GMN lists the 25th through the 27th. The ASWOA show must be a one day event? I liked this show because it's ALL wagons....but it may be small since it lists only one day. I have emailed them and asked how many wagons showed up last year to get a fix on the size of the event.

I think this was one of their shows.

Actually after more checking that is not the same organization. Which is even more odd that there is another wagon group out there putting on shows we don't know about. last years Aswoa show was in Cinnanati OH. I posted the info here last year with no responses.

Now I can find no pictures from their events which seems really odd. I am guessing it might be really small.

Well....thanks for those vids anyway, Stick....some nice wagons. Let's hope they answer me about the number of cars at last years event....that should give us a fix on the size. I feel bad now, though...both Blackie and wix were up for the ASWOA show. I was really wanting to meet up with both of them and REAL anxious to see wix's wagon! Probably too far for wix to come to Carlisle. Bummer if the Dearborn event is kind of small......

OK...I heard from the ASWOA people....apparently they usually have 45 to 50 wagons at their National (in Dearborn this year). Not many cars but, still...a lot of wagons in one spot. But I guess I don't see this as a major circuit show.
Waiting to see what wix and Blackie have to say. I'm leaning toward Carlisle and I know that's close to Blackie but I wanted to meet wix too.
