Professor, it looks fantastic! Nice work!

I did something I've been dying to do. The warm weather and ample rain to wash the salt off the roads allowed my Colony Park to make its first trip of 2012. I took it to work today, started with just a touch of the key, after sitting, though started here and there, for four months. It drove as though it hadn't sat at all.

I got three 'thumbs ups' on my way to work and my sister said down on the first floor of the plant, everyone was talking about how 'awesome' my wagon is!

This morning I put the rechromed rear bumper that I got from member amcpackrat on my Monaco. Looks great! changes the whole look of the back end. Now I just have to find a front bumper or get mine rechromed.

I went to the pull-a-boneyard and found a nice front bumper cover, right power/heated door mirror and a bunch of other parts I needed off of a '91. The car is so rusty after I had all the plastic retainer pins pulled out of the bumper cover I just had to wiggle it a little to tear it loose from the front fenders.
They didn't charge me for the rusted out bottom chunk of fender that was still attached to each end of it.:D

Since nov,1 2011 my dark cherry colored 96 roadmaster wagon has had the following things done to it to keep it out of the boneyard!
    1) floors and front body mounts rebuild (bad rust)
    2) both rear wheel wells repaired (more bad rust)
    3) drivers side front wheel well housing replaced (you guess it. Rust!)
    4) 2 front shocks
    5) Inner and outer tie rods
    6) two rear tires
    7) new distributor assembly
    8) plugs & wires
    9) water pump
    10) starter (damaged from a kickback caused by distributor)
    11) new oil cooler lines

Except for the tire mounting I have done all the work. If this thing had to go to a mechanic it would have been gone! Car runs great now hope it stays that way for a while :).

Spent about three hours tearing apart my interior looking for my build sheet, Finally gave up and decided to polish the front and rear bumper, removed the reverse lights and cleaned them. Took q tips and cleaned all the wax from around the trim, wheel well mouldings. In one week it heads to the exhaust shop to get new dual exhaust

I finally finished my front end rebuild, underbody and engine painting and detailing. The car has to be 200 pounds lighter from all the grease and dirt I cleaned off of the thing. The car is from California so I had no rust to deal with so that made it a lot easier. The front end wasn't too bad but suspension parts are relatively inexpensive and it was a good winter project, can't hurt. I just had it aligned and it drives even better now, next is a set of new whitewalls. No more of the common '91-'96 B-Body wagon sagged front springs/angled butt in the air ride. I noticed that the rear went down about an inch after the front was up to stock height again, the cars really pivot off the rear axle with all that overhang in the back.

Here's a DCM RMW that was at the boneyard too DanR63.:(
The car is near complete but really trashed, pure rust underneath, cloth interior, it only has 90,000 miles on it too. I want to grab the rear gate glass if it's still there next time I go.

After 8 months I finally made time to get some paint on the front left fender.

(notice I didn't provide a great shot or in the sunlight)

I went outside to have another go at polishing up the aluminum alloys that I picked up last month. The previous owner didn't do any maintenance on them at all from the look of them. I'll document my process in the thread I have going for my car but for here, just the pics.

Oooooooh.....shiny! (It took several tries to get a photo without the sun reflecting off the rim and washing out the photo). I left an unpolished rim on the right for comparison.
