    1981 - steering failure + tree = broken bones. Had a VW Type 3 fastback.

    I had 12 Beetles all at once including one Baja bug, '59 or so camper, a 2 door pickup, a 4 door pickup, 2 Karmann Ghias, and the fastback. Still into VW's, but watercooled ones now :bouncy:

    I liked the older Beetles. Had a 1957 and a 60's but forgot just what year. I like the looks of the newer Beetles too. I had the squareback of that one you wrecked. Was nice with a family but way too many problems with it. I got to know the VW mechanics and staff on a first name basis.

    Those weren't my photos. Took pretty good care of my fastback, most of my Beetles, and 2 door pickup. Used the 4 door pickup as a work horse, and thrashed the Ghias in snow. Guy I knew from HS had a Ghia with fat rear tires and a 70's stance. Didn't perform well.
