Thanks for all of the memories. I rarely click the LIKE but I like nearly every photo posted.:thumbs2:
The background scenes are often more interesting than the vehicles.

    I know!
I like to try to figure out where the pics were taken - the ones without obvious clues.

This one's pretty easy. Any one have a guess?

Ha! I never heard they were equipped with overhead cam sixes. I used to see them around, when I was a kid and thought they were cool-looking. I still do. The engine was discontinued for civilian production and was instead used in military jeeps and under license for Argentine Ramblers. Would be interesting to get conversion mounts and bellhousing for dropping one of those into a Javelin or Hornet. It was also a long-stroker, somewhat like the Chevy 292 six-banger. It was thriftier than any production American 6: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Tornado_engine

Here, some Argentine AMC's (love to go there and get one): http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Argentina/Argentinajamc.html

What a conversion would look like:

I see the Desert Inn sign and palm trees. I know it's not Iowa! Some of my favorite cars in that photo.

Look at the license plates, put your clues together, and you should get it.

I spotted the "Desert Inn" sign so I plugged that in to Google, and it shows a location on Western, just South of the old Imperial highway. Does that sound good?

Not exactly street scenes. But, wagons in there, in any case. 1st one's a 59 Plymouth. There's a forum for rotting cars, somewhere. Anyone have the link?
