I'm getting all my chores done so I can have my weekend clear for the car festivities coming to town!

Goodguys comes to the Kansas Speedway this weekend (https://www.good-guys.com/?p=3407&option=com_wordpress&Itemid=315 ); always good for wagon watching. The track is being resurfaced so no track cruise this time, but I am going to fling my wagon around the autocross and see how my new suspension works. Very polite, civilized show :162:

The other show (my favorite one of the year!) is Greaserama ( http://lospunkrods.com/ ). It's a 2 day show held at the Boulevard Drive-In. It's not for the faint of heart - lots of really loud music, tattoos, piercings, artists, beer and food, and when the sun goes down they show old "cult" movies. The movie lineup this year is "Samson Vs. The Vampire Women", "The Warriors" and "Boulevard Nights". Campy movies that are fun to make fun of! The organizers of Greaserama are particular about who they let in - you have to send a picture of your car and describe how you've modified it. They then evaluate your ride as to suitability to the theme of the show. Thankfully, the members of Los Punk Rods accepted my ride and I'll be there this weekend with Betty White Ford! I took my '64 Impala there the previous years and it was always well received by the show-goers; it will be interesting to see the response Betty gets. I'll post some pics after both shows are over - the contrast between Goodguys and Greaserama is pretty extreme! I go to Goodguys in the morning, leave around 2 or 3 and get to Greaserama for the afternoon and evening festivities - when it gets nice and rowdy! Now you all know the "dark side" of me!
