I truly do not have the time, money, or patience needed to replace an entire panel of woodgrain vinyl on my vehicle. It's a $600 car, not worth the cash anyway. But I would like to fill in some of the spots that have rubbed off or been scraped off. The largest of these is about the size of a ballpoint pen cap, 2" long and skinnier than my finger. I'm thinking, why not do the same thing I do to my furniture at home?

Touch-up pens in various shades of brown. My car is white with woodgrain, shouldn't I be able to fill in the white spots and the worn areas with this? Wonder if it'll come off first rain?

Those pens won't fill the scrapes. It looks like they're just colored felt pens with indelible ink. Probably won't wash off with rain. I'd clean off the area pretty good with mineral spirits (something that won't affect the existing vinyl), then get artistic. Good luck.
