I think you are right, snoot. I've been reading the stupid hype and then following the actual storm and they seem to be worlds apart. The hype is shooting out headlines like..."Will Your Cell Phone Work?"...."What Will Irene Do to the Economy?"....and on and on. Meanwhile, the storm had withered to a cat one. I'm thinking you may have a storm but it will likely be like many storms you have seen before. We used to have No-Name storms on the ocean front in Florida that I think were a lot stronger than I think you are going to get. There will still be some problems so stay buttoned up...hopefully it will pass soon.
Oh, by the way, just to allay any fears you all may have, the Colony Park is safely ensconced up home. I brought the Taurus X down. Hey, if one of them's going to get messed up, I'd much rather have it be the '08 than the '87!!
Not to sound gloomy but this year has been no exception to "unpredictable" weather. I can't really speak for the rest of the country but it has been a weird year here in SW MO. All I say is just be careful and trust your instincts. -X
He's probably talking to Dorothy, Toto and the Tin Man about any wagon parts that may have blown past in where ever it is she is........
well i just heard on the news that over a million people in NC are without power, so its very possible he's one of the million
I'm hoping that the storm caused ocean surge didn't reach snoot. Hope everything is cool with you, snoot!
Well we got to NB and the race. The weather was beautiful yesterday in New Burnswick. When we got up this AM it had already started to rain, not hard, showers. But puts a damper(pun ) on sight seeing. So we decided to go to PEI...wasn't raining there. Took the bridge over, did a little gift shop browsing, then drove to the other end of the island and took the ferry back across. Very relaxing but incredibly humid, forerunner for a hurricane. On our way home we ran into a few heavy showers. For us in NS we are suppose to get the worst of the winds tonight. So we are under watches, but I'm sure we'll be fine. Irene is now a post tropical storm and is heading for Quebec. Hold onto your hats Stefan you could be in for a very wet, blustery night. It looks like New York had a much more serious storm. I hope Snoot is fine...hopefully just in the dark, could be awhile before we hear from him.
