I was snooping to watch the Jay Leno interview tonite and found this! Station wagons are making a comeback: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29516880/ Here's the news piece I was looking for: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29718457/ Here's how to watch it: http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/ To here: http://www.nbc.com/The_Tonight_Show_with_Jay_Leno/
Bout damn time. I hope the SUVs die off and are all crushed and never made again! I hope they make sure they all have atleast the 7 seating capacity options. No more of this 5 seat garbage, you can get that from a Colbalt, we need more real family cars!
Did you ever read the book "The Crack in the Cosmic Egg"? A friend of mine summarized it saying that the little dutch boy wasn't enough to hold back the flood. If these guys are 'testing' the SW word in the media, with the 'flair' of Luxury Car, then all it needs is guys like us.
Frankly, even if they begin to deluge the market with wagons....they will NEVER be the same as our oldies. Look how Dodge screwed up with the Magnum. These guys don't have a clue!
I'm a magnum fan, but they need to make 'em panneled!! I'd love to see wagons come back, I'd rub it in all my friends' faces! Wouldn't it be something if they were at least a modernized version of what they used to be? Like the best way I can come to describe it would be an updated Roadmaster! That would be the ultimate and I bet people would buy 'em at a pretty good rate! Some people don't need 4x4 but need a family car and thing mini-vans suck. I know I do! Heck, so many of them Roadmasters and Custom Cruisers and Caprices are still on the road here. It's surprising, even 4 or 5 box wagons are still about town.
