The more varied the types of cars, the better.

I attend cruise nights pretty regular and as far as car shows, I attend a few, most are for charity and I usually go according to "the cause"
Biggest problem I have with Car Shows is the lack of respect the participants themselves have. No, I am not a fan of a Honda Civic but that 17 year old kid that owns it is and if he sees me looking at it and wants to tell me about it, I listen, he is as proud of it as I am of the '55 I co-own with my dad. The same guys that turn their nose up at me when I take my wagon to a show are a lot different when I take my '55. Then you have the people with '50's model cars shun anything after '72. My favorite car to take is my dad's 1978 Malibu. I was born in '73 so as I explained to my dad's friend that is all about '57's, a 1978 is to me what a 1957 is to you. I think some people just forget about that sometimes....sorry for also for the rant in your thread, Fannie, I think most issues with car shows are beyond the host control, the participants are what makes it good or bad for me!

I agree with 1tireDennis. As long as kids are interested in any car that's good. I guess it was the 55's and up that I was really into even though I like the earlier cars. I was in high school when those tri-fives were new and always wanted one of any brand.
So now these kids are into the cars they grew up around. Partially because they can afford them and parts are there to modify those Rice Burner things. Some do some nice work and we should look and talk about them. No I don't like them.
I also agree lots of people only care for the kind of cars they drive to the show. Wagons still get the cold shoulder for the most part here. Especially newer models.
A car show promoter has a lot of things to figure out. It's all about making the car owners and the people off the street happy and interested.

We've only been to a few real flaunt and flash car shows in south Florida. I can't remember what kinds of cars were there!:rofl2:
