I missed the excitement, but I got the drift. Welcome aboard. My dad had one of those too in a sedan. Up here in Canada, we didn't get the wide rear axles or the real Poncho engines, just 283's. Looks like a fine project. Do a step-by-step pictorial of your progress. It'll be the first '59 GM ride here.
again. Actually I thought you were angry at me! That 59 pontiac roof welded to my butt wouldn't do it justice. I still like the idea of a 66 Tbird wagon though.
Ya know, that 59 roofline looks pretty slick on a tbird. They fit like they were made to go together.
Maybe Steve-E-D could photoshop the Safari roof on tbirdsps's ass. You know....just to see what it would look like. 60vette might have a good idea there. Dare to be different. Just a joke, don't kick me off I like it here. Chadwa
Great Safaris guys! There's nothing like that grille! Back when body lines and trim told you what make and year a car was. Keep us up to date on your color choices!!!
Sounds like you have a plan there, 60. Good for you. I love seeing another long roof being brought back to life. It looks like it's a solid ride; I'm sure you're dying to get her on the road. Be patient. Good waiters get good tips, they say.
That's my kind of thinking, Stock hub caps! That's what I run. Although some older cars wheel covers are getting pretty tough to find. You could get it up to 12-13 with some minor alterations as in exhaust and timing and possibly some distributor advance re-curving. Getting rid of the points for a pertronix ignition would help some too.
