One of our local 'easy-listening' radio stations switched to a new format, handle and name. They're now part of the CBS network. I went searching for them and got a page with a well-known West Coast station, near the Rev, CKNW, New Westminster, BC. Well it turns out that they used new mid-sixties Station Wagons. Here's a picture: Here's the pages: http://www.radiowest.ca/index.html http://www.radiowest.ca/promo.html History stuff. And this Radio Memorabilia site had this back-handed compliment to the Radio Trade: "The radio business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." --Hunter S. Thompson
...geez...i remember all those wagons!!...showing my age hell...i may own a few of them the "Crystal Palace" mobile...a guy I know owns it...its a mobile 'consession stand' now!! that is a great link!!!...didnt even know it existed!!...THANX Stormin
I figured you'd be familiar with that. What other kinds of Stations are there that would have used wagons? Band Wagon doesn't count?
