PROBLEM SOLVED! intake gasket was wrong, leave it to the parts store to give you the wrong part, they only have an 80 percent success rate from what I've gathered, well the crappy running was due to the gasket, it fit in like it should but had extra rod guides, then extra guides were to high up causing rods to rub them, all the guide that were problems were on intake valves, causing lean condition, sometimes oil would probably help out other times if oil wasn't splashed on them it would run like crap, well what made me go back in was the o ring on the pump seal where the distro would have been was also not right on the gasket set and finally just blew in the driveway and oil came pouring out. I bought the best gasket set I could and everything seems fine now, but the slight roughness of the engine it has always had, even my alero 3400 had this after some miles, not sure what it is but every sensor is new, and egr passage is clear, just doesn't run like a brand new engine, guess its just age I cant do anything about, even tuneup didn't fix, but for all general purposes it is running exactly as it should for a car with 100k that's 20 years old

Do an induction cleaning. With how poorly it was running before and after the bad gasket set was in it, the cylinders were likely built up with carbon. It's cheap and easy to do it, so you're not out much if it doesn't get rid of the rough run condition. Also, driving it likely will help, if you had the battery disconnected. The computer has to go through a fifty-key-cycle relearn procedure when the car is back on the road. So go buy a can of Sea Foam, get the engine up to temp, hold the throttle open so it runs stable at 1500 RPM, then pull one of the small or medium vacuum lines and dunk it in the can, and allow it to suck the can down; and when it's there, pull the line and hook it back up, then drop it to idle and shut the engine off. Let it sit ten minutes, then go drive it like you stole it.
