Well I hope the little Kia goes to a good home. June 18th is my sister's birthday by the way! Paul McCartneys' too!
Fat Tedy said-----What Fox said...no, not you Cat...the Fox must have told you this Hey, I think of things too! Foxy and I sometimes think alike..... That's a scary thought ! Poor Kia ! Drop a Hemi in it, bag it, add a super loud sterio and sell it to some kid. ...... like dewey!
Poor unloved KIA... Its not its fault. I love it. That would totally work. It has been rather busy lately. Sorry I haven't been on much. We should have internet at our apartment so I will be able to be on the Forum like I used to. [YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!] Sadly nothing really new to report about the KIA. It seems that the local market is full of people wanting to buy something for some member of their family. Lots of interest but no call backs. I just dropped the price again today. We are supposed to move this weekend. If we can't sell it by then... well. The only option we would have left is to ask to borrow more money from Zoe's well off friend in Chicago. We already owe them money and really don't want to owe more. I am still hopeful, though. Thinking about trying out some of the local car lots.
As flattering as it is to be called a "kid" I passed that loud stereo phase a while back, if it's too loud you're too old...I must be old. A good sounding system is fine I don't need it to be heard half a mile away.
HUH? How many grown deaf kids are there wandering around now? Even though the local redneck law is rough on loud music, we still feel and hear at least two mobil music halls going through town when there. It's usually easy to pick out the vehicle where the sound is coming by it's looks. Hope I'm not profiling. Number one, it will have oversized rims and skinny tires. Number two it will have illegally dark tinted windows. Number three it will be a big 80's-90's car. By the way---[WE HAVE BEEN WARNED!] Danged!
Some guy just called and told me that I am going to have to sell it to him for 1200... Anyways. There is a single mom who lost everything last May. She really wants the Kia. I tried to call her back but it seems I have her work # and I dont know her name. We have figured out the bare bones amount we can offer it to her. We would love to help some one out before we go. If you can, think about her and pray. We want her to have our Kia. Thank you.
Glad things are going well for you right now, X.... Man, trying to see a vehicle is getting frustrating, isn't it? I've got ads up on CL and Auto Trader for our Explorer, at what I think is a pretty good price (with my phone # in the ad...), and all I get is this... "Hi, I am interested ,and you should consider it sold .Actually ,I am buying it for someone and payment would be through PayPal . I am working in a ship and most of time i am out to sea.So it is an agent that would be coming for the pick up. I would be expecting your prompt reply, with the name and the email address on your PayPal account so that i could make the payment asap and i will appreciate if you could send more pics as i would not be seeing it in person and pick up should be at a designated place or your residence. And lastly , i am offering additional $ 100 to your final price for you to keep it off from other offers." I think I'll respond...."Hey, Paypal THIS............." I'm starting to think a 'For Sale' sign and parking it down on the corner will be more effective......
I can't remember the last time I sold anything except our last house. Took almost a year. Finally the first guy who looked bought it for a lower price than we were asking because we were getting desparate to dump---er sell it. We were already living in Florida for a year and didn't want to rent or keep it listed too long. Don't know anything about E-bay, Craigies list, or Pay Pal and hopefully never will. But I do have to thin out my junk--- I mean cars. Old age is hell and I'll never get them done. Good luck Krash and X. Keep in mind when buying, this crap is like priceless stones----When selling they are just rocks.
My Kia has been on CL for over a year off and on. I believe I have gotten the same spam message, Krash. The spammers gave up on me long ago, though. Thats a good way of putting it, Cat. Jewels and stones. Now in other news... I got ahold of Anne, the single mom, and we offered her the car for $550 off our asking price. She comes to test drive it tomorrow.
Dewey, as much as I appreciate it you should really breathe now. You are turning blue. But seriously, thanks all for the support and help. I have your advice and knowledge to thank for keeping my Kia on the road.
Hey don't blame us Xavier ! Just kidding. Good luck to both of you on your move. Without the Kia and those old living conditions with your ex-friends (?) things should improve. After all, you're going to be living in Illinois! I was born and raised there and look how I turned out!
