my first wagon was a $300 special, an 84 Olds Custom Cruiser. What a beaut that was. 240k miles. nothing but dot required equipment worked. had headlights, turn signals and windshield wipers, but nothing else. the front driver and rear passenger windows were stuck closed, the front passenger and rear driver windows were down. the rear window worked, amazingly. The automatic wouldnt return to 1st on its own, i had to down shift it with the column. The reason for this purchase is i lived out of town, and was driving a car that my parents owned. They bitched about the miles i put on it, so i bought something to put miles on running the 8 hour round trip back and forth to see friends. So the old wagon did two of those trips on a dummy tire, no tag, no insurance, in the middle of the night. Then i had to evacuate due to a hurricane. when i went back one night to get my wagon, it was gone. ill never know what happend to it, since i never registerred it in my name... oh well. 2nd wagon was 1988 buick electra for my 24th bday. Sold it. Then came the 85 Caprice rescue and the 89 colony park

My dad gave me a '73 Caprice Estate wagon when I was 15, but mom wrecked it before I could drive it (trying to learn how to drive). Then I bought a friend's 63 BelAir wagon, from Texas, 283/PG, factory A/C. That car was fun!! The car was so slow, I could do 70mph in 1st gear and it would take me 20 seconds to get there. I'm hoping to find another one just like it someday.

My first wagon was a 78 Malibu wagon. It was pretty beat. It had the V-6 with the dreaded blowby. Always had more oil in the aircleaner than in the engine.
