That is a fantastic collection! You must be the envy of the neighbourhood! Certainly around here, anyway. I do have one question. What tires are on that pick up? I am going to need new tires in the spring, and a 78 Grand Marquis looks silly on black wall tires. Trouble is finding a good white wall that can handle both weight (5,000 pounds unloaded) and torque.

I really don't remember much about the tires on the 53 pickup. That's been gone a couple of years and all I worked on was the interior and the engine compartment. I do remember that the whitewalls were "port-o-walls" from a place called Hawk Hardware someplace here in Tennesee. They worked out well on the triuck I guess because they were the smaller version. Hawk Hardware has a website you can order from. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks for the info on the whitewalls. I checked them out. The Port-O-Walls are only $18 each, and readily available. A great alternative since real white walls are getting so difficult to find! I have a feeling I'll be getting a set.

You can find all you want at Coker Tire in Chattanooga. I've been using them for years, about 30 I guess. My problem isn't finding them, but being able to afford them since I don't work any longer!

Can anyone tell where I need to post some pictures of my current project that isn't a wagon, but a pretty interesting car? Actually it's a truck. Thanks in advance.

Probably in the "Automotive Tech" or in "The Lounge" both are for general auto tech or questions and the lounge is for non wagon topics. I for one would love to see the pics.

Actually, the section right after 'The Lounge' - 'Car & Truck' section would be the right one....
