Know there is a member whose family had a '74 CE in his childhood. He's been looking for a nice '74 for a few years. The '74 GM clamshells seem to be the hardest to find these days.
Hey George, Would a '75 be close enough? Here are a couple of photos of the one I owned for several years. I purchased it from the original owner out of Chicago. Loved that wagon!
Both cars are stunning! My late friend had a 74 wagon identical to yours except it was the light yellow. He had rally wheels on his but I really like the spokes on yours! I love the Pontiac with the original 261 six! Excuse me now while I clean the druel off my keyboard!
I'm the current owner of my Dad's '74 wagon. Should be older pictures around here somewhere... Sadly, Florida (& the lack of a garage) has not been kind to the poor old guy. I'm seriously considering selling it to someone who can give it a nice restoration & a good home. No idea what it's worth though.
If you want to sell your '74 Caprice Estate, there probably would be quite a lot of interest here on SWF. Post some current pics.
Well, I have just the one wagon, which is similar to OP's wagon. jwdtenn: Will be posting more recent pics soon. Wanted to take some this morning, but was already running late for work.
Just posted about 20 photos I took of the wagon just 10 minutes ago. I have video of the car running & operating the clamshell window and tailgate, but they're too large to post here. I'll try to either edit them down, or post to YouTube.
It has AC, but won't hold a charge. Power locks & rear window/gate. Just over 29K original miles. My Dad bought it new in '74 & was never driven in winter. It basically sat in my Dad's garage for years, until we drove to Florida in 2011. Pretty sure the engine is a 350. Has a new battery & thermostat, but is basically all original, except the tires.
