So I got out of the hospital last week. Found out I have some health issues to deal with. No biggie, I got this. Then 2 days later my poor mother passed in her sleep, probably from her many ailments. She did not ever want an autopsy, so it was deemed "natural causes" She was 59 :( Her last day was with us celebrating my daughters 10th birthday. She passed peacefully in her sleep. I really can't ask for more than that. :(:( I lay her to rest this afternoon.

My painter has been bustin ass this week on the wagon. He has been sending me a lot of pics to keep my mind busy. I greatly appreciate it. Looks like its almost ready.

The close ups of the detail work on the wagon look great.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother's passing. She's in a better place and I'm sure the world is better for knowing her.
It's one of those reminders to enjoy life to the fullest every day.
Glad to hear you're on the mend.

Done! I pick it up tomorrow and bring it to the exhaust shop, then the rest of the mechanical stuff gets done.

so I called AAA and arranged for a tow this morning and then hustled to the paint shop to pay the body guy off and follow the car to the exhaust shop. AAA beat me there and already had the car loaded

at the exhaust shop 65 miles away

First time driving it with the 4 speed. Linkages need some adjusting. That will be done starting this week after the exhaust is done. This car just runs so good.

Going with true duals. Single tips exiting at 45* angle right behind the rear tires

I bet you were like a little kid getting behind the wheel of that thing for the first time and backing it into the parking spot.
What mufflers are you going with?

    I went with magnaflows

Got my new exhaust on. Its tucked up pretty close. Just happened to be able to get some "OK" shots from my car while I was next to the tow truck

I stepped down the tubing size from 2.5" to 2.25" so they could bend the exhaust up over the custom cross member. They also put flanges there so it can be unbolted if needed

Here you can see the muffler placement
    [IMG]

    And the tailpipes :)

Here is a rear shot. I hope to have exhaust vid(s) today

I had to run back to my buddies house this morning. He said my wheels were a real close fit. So, I was able to get some good exhaust shots while under the car

I also got to see a mock up of the wheels on the car

The rear wheels are a 20x10. I want a 20x9 with an extra half inch of backspace. They don't offer that though, so I have to go with a 20x8.5 which should fit no problem.

Now that I know my wheel size, I can order my redline tires from DiamondBack Tires

time to tackle the 4 barrel intake, and carb adapter issue I was facing last year, when trying to figure out how to adapt the 4150 style FAST throttle body to my spreadbore poncho intake.

    You can see the overlap
    [IMG]

smoothed it out a lot, still not 100% to my liking
    [IMG]

to hell with it, lets hog out the center. This should work.

Ordered my correct rear wheels, and my custom redline tires. My coilovers should be here in 2 days.

Few random updates. Wrenching on the car starts today!

Received all 4 of my coilovers. Should give a 2-3" drop
    [IMG]

Missing some screws on my FAST throttle body...not sure why. Hope Butler Performance has some extras for me
    [IMG]

VERY excited about my custom redline tires. Went with Falkens front and rear. 18" front 20" rear, 45 series. Diamond Back tire in South Carolina puts the tires on a lathe, machines the outside sidewall smooth and then vulcanizes a redline (or white, or gold etc) on to it. I went with an 1/8". Hope to mount the wheels and tires tomorrow.

Looks good, but looks wider than 1/8".
