I don't suppose anyone has tried putting a pet ferret down the holes. It would surely get rid of the problem in a natural way. But I wonder how one would turn himself around to get back out of the tunnel.
If I had a pet ferret to put down a mole hole I'd close the entrance and leave the silly rat down there. Our oldest had one of those ugly critters in the house for years. They found 1/2 ton of potatos in the couch cushions. Apparently Safari is out in the yard standing by again with his weapons of no destruction. :banghead3: And yes those mole bombs did have sulfer in them. We haven't had one return in nearly ten years so keep them north of our boarder.
We can get those nuggets which emit acetylene gas when moistened. I forget what you call this mineral. Dropping them into the tunneling will chase off gophers. Trouble is, they dissolve. So, you have to continually keep track of when you use them and if it rains, you can count on going back the next day and drop in new ones
Not if you value your eyebrows and nose hairs. I always use a gasoline fuse when doing things like that.
Maybe this time it's not a mole, maybe someone took a wrong turn in Albuquerque? Try dropping a poison carrot in the hole, or a GPS
I got up yesterday to a screaming wife! She has a pair of flip flops she keeps on the porch for when she walks the dogs and on one of them, one of our 2 cats caught a mole and had it displayed for her where she couldn't miss it on the flip flop! They wanted to make sure they got their treat for that one!
If that is a real concern of yours, a mole and what it would do to your cat, maybe you should........................ And the friends kitty is hanging out with............. Before it's rock bottom out in the streets to late................
I have one cat I'm positive has a catnip problem...he just stares at the walls, like 3" away from the wall, zoned completely out.
I'd be willing to rent that kitty - and it can have loads of treats - but after it delivers the mole(s) of course.
Well Safari you did it! If your yard is no longer troubled with moles I know where they are! Yesterday morning we took the long drive into town shopping, 9 1/2 miles, without stopping! As I drove out our approximately 400' driveway, I was looking at the two acres of grass/weeds (?). All of the rain made it grow again. On our return from town 3 hours later we were amazed what we saw. On the flat green grass/weeds were a dozen or more good sized mole mounds! I have not had a mole problem for over 5-6 years. I hate mole mounds in my lawn. So it appears I will have to go back to town and get some mole pellets.
