how can i soften the shift between gears? its awfully hard. i thought that it had something to do with that valve down on the tranny? enlighten me fellas!

just get another shift kit and install the plates for a milder shift points in the valve body,,,,my old suburban had a shift kit in it i presume for towing and it shifted hard but it did,nt bother me ,,i mean it was,nt chirpin the tires but it was pretty agressive. does your trans have a towing shift kit ,,street / strip or what? :icon_drive:

you know what bud, i wish i knew...
its like you said pretty agressive but no chirp, im assumin cause of the weight. if it was a mustang im sure it bust em loose.
the only shift kit ive ever done was on a 350 tranny and it was a gasket a ball bearing and some other crap. i aint ever dona e ford. all the ford i ever owned were stick shifters.
is there a way to tell what is in there?
