It took me a week to get through all the photos, and then I decided I wanted to save a few and had to go back and find them. Doh!!!
133 pages? There were only 131 the last time I checked.

Yep, you are right, 131. Man, someone over there has dropped the ball. By now you'd think they would have added another half a dozen pages the way they've been going at it for well over a year.

There was a picture of the identical twin to your '68 corvette convertible we had in 1970 that threw me for a loop as it was a winter scene and we lived on the prairies then. I did a double take and then copied it into my files.

Thanks again for the site. I'm going back through it again slowly to see what I may have missed the first time. Egads, I rushed through it and it took a long time at that. This could turn out to be my winter project instead of finishing my wife's Chevelle. Oops, sorry dear, I know it is May but I was kind of busy.....

Even though its still 131 pages, there were several cool pictures on that 131st page today, that weren't there when I last looked.

I also posted the link on the Diecast Pub, a forum for collectors of 1/18 scale diecast cars. Some of the members there are using the photos and photo-shopping in pictures of their diecast toys. The photo here is from the Supercar thread. The 59 Buick is a 1/18 scale diecast car by Yat Ming that is sold by diecast vendors for about $20.00. The Diecast Pub member that put the toy together with the photo is Doug Lynn.
I'm blown away by how convincing it is.

Wow, that's impressive. I'd never believe that was a model.

Well technically I guess its a Picture of a toy car super imposed over the postcard photo. He photographed the diecast car outside in the sunlight, on a suface that was the same color as the parking lot in the photo. He just did a cut and paste to put the two photos together and didn't retouch anything else.
Funny thing is that i remember seeing the original photo on the Supercars thread and thought it was too bad that it had so much empty pavement in the foreground, making the photo kind of un interesting and in need of something. I guess the photo was in need of a $20 toy car.

Welcome aboard. Love that 60 merc wagon of yours. We started this thread here with vintage street scene photos, but then it quickly shifted to the General Station Wagon Discussions section where photos have been posted under "wagons in vintage street scenes". That should come up as one of the first threads when you go to the general discussion section. You'll see hundreds of vintage photos there.
