No kidding......WHOA...WHOA...WHOA... Feeeeeeelingsssss...nothing more than Fee... (insert needle scratching on record album followed by sound of record being smashed to the floor)........ Think I'm gona listen to the 'happy happy joy joy" song and iron my underwear for the rest of the day And along with a warm , PLEASE don't do that again!
I had a 58 Pontiac wagon ( Canadian) with a 261 inline 6 and a slush o glide. It started having one issue after another and I got upset and sold it. That was a big mistake. I had a 76 Monza beater that I blew the trans in so I went to the wreckers and bought a used trans and 2 days later the trans puked again. So in a fit of rage I fired up my gas powered chop saw and cut it into many little pieces none bigger than a loaf of bread, no regrets there. I even get burned at my Chevy once in a while.
My Fairlane wagon - I expect things to break (especially when I'm being hard on them) because it's an old car and I've not left it stock. I don't get upset about it having problems. I also like my Fairlane wagon more than any other "play" cars I've owned so I'm willing to accept problems. I don't ever think about selling it - I think about who in my family will want it when I'm too old to drive it. Luckily, my two sons like the wagon almost as much as me and have both said they want it. I hope to keep it for a long time.
one of the reasons that i have a few too many cars is....when one peez me off...i park it and go looking for a new one...its a viscous circle . The one day I'll drive the one that peed me off...and I remember why I liked it  ...but then i never sell any....its an ugly cycle for sure I just hung up the phone from a guy that wants my 64 CP bad....i havent driven it in what...5 yrs..? but i just cant bring myself to sell it
Darned Rev, I think many of us have this illness. They say we can't take it with us............ But it's still fun thinking of them out in the garage or shed just waiting for us to revive them again. Besides my kids love beer!
