No big surprise on the engine. Where did you get the 781106298 number from? Doesn't look like anything familiar to me.

This number is in front of the other number...like so

    781106298 K0103DF

They are placed on the right front of the engine. Could it be a part number?

Check the VIN on the car. I'm guessing that number is related to it somehow.

Look on the REAR of the engine...just below the head on the driver side just above where the bell housing bolts to the engine. Give us those numbers.

Finally sold the donor today ...that took about 6 months and about 9000 visits on kijiji and I don't know how many emails...although it's not actually gone yet. The buyer is in Ontario, a trucker(car hauler) and his plans fell through to come and pick it up this weekend. So we're gonna look after it for a bit until he can get here...

Did you do anything with it or just buy it and sell it?

Hubby took out the motor and transmission...and we got a few smaller parts for Fannie, arm rests, sunvisor, switched the front bumpers, wiring harness and I sold the gauges to another fellow in Ontario before Xmas. Turned out the back doors are a different shape around the window so it really wasn't worth the work needed to make them fit. I couldn't believe how many hits it got on kijiji...thousands...crazy. :p
The guy that bought it has one the same that was made into a drag car and he wants to turn it back to a DD. There's alot of good parts on it so it'll be great for him...maybe he'll be able to sell a few parts get his money back.
I just don't know how long it'll take him to be able to pick it up...he asked if we could store it for a while. I told him the storage would be in the driveway where it is right now...but would really like to see it gone. He wanted to pay me for keeping it but I don't want him to think it's OK to leave it here for a long time. So I'm going to send him the papers and hopefully it won't be here to long.

No, No, NO! Don't send the guy the papers, then your in a loop hole of being stuck with it if he takes forever to come get it.

Honestly fannie, I can't believe you did'nt shread more of the car...extra grill, etc, and the rear doors. It really isn't that hard to change the window frames etc.
