I don't know if Canadian engines are any different from US ones, but, that oil filler in the front looks like a 327. The casting number is on the rear of the block, driver's side, above the bell housing, below the head and intake. Probably have to use a mirror to read it.

But the tags on the side have 307, so this is not original, right?

Fannie, you do need to find the numbers. The intake could be off a different engine. Is it aluminum and painted the same colour as the engine? The early intakes were designed with the oil filler in the intake, for 283 and 327. The block and heads could be anything - 307, 283, 327 or a 350.

I learned a long time ago to rely on the block numbers and not on what the call-outs on the car said. If you post the numbers I have a chevy numbers book I can check and let you know. Same goes for the heads - IIRC the numbers for the heads are under the valve covers, but you are more interested in the engine block. Also, get the number off the intake manifold and I can tell you what it is off of as well.

As usual...my engine is not listed on the Chevy site. By the casting number, it came from a late 60s-early 70s Camaro. But that is all I can find out. Numbers on front pad under alternator....T0625OMJ.

My tag #'s on the wagon are: S 768-73135-OS802192

Not one of 39 :( however still special:) I think I have made a few people unhappy over at CP because I'm using the sedan to fix the wagon...
