    Make your own Shunt resistor with a wire

    This is pretty straight-forward. If you are using the Ford ammeters without having taken the underhood harness (specially shunt wire) you can do this:

    The other links, 2 posts above, say that the shunt should be around .025 milli-ohms for a 50-70 amp ammeter range.
