And just a reminder to the folks from the U.S.: $CDN 10,000 is only $US 8,068 at current exchange rates. :D

$8,283.00 USD doesn't sound bad for this at all. Again, for that money, the seller needs to spend a "C"-note and take care of the fluids and filters, check the brakes and fluid, and do a good checkout. Were it $2K, that is different.

I could be wrong, but looks like it does not have A/C (which is no surprise since it is a 70s Canadian car) and I am not sure I could ever get used to the kilometers speedometer. Other than that, looks awesome.

The miles are right underneath. No big deal. I drove in Europe for three years with a speedometer in MILES and everything was in Kilometers - just takes a few seconds of basic mental math and you're good to go.

    1.61 km = 1 mile

    .61 miles = 1 km

    Too easy.

Yeah they are there and could use that, but I just don't like the look of the speedometer like that. I guess where I am not used to seeing it like that... looks out of place. ;)

I dig the 200 on the metric speedometer, myself! Tell the unknowing and the brain-dead that it is a special 200 mph "police" speedo.

If it was a year from now (I will be retired) I would go up and drag it back to Ohio, go through it and sell it. It looks like a real nice wagon!

This belongs to two seniors in my neighborhood who have not started it or moved it since 1986. They are trying to downsize their home and get this out of the garage. You could probably drive it away, but why risk it?

I learned about it 2 years ago. It's in perfect condition outside of sitting in a dry heated garage unused for 30 years.

I doubt they have anything to do with the kijiji add or the asking price, probably a younger family member. When I looked at it, it was covered & filled with boxes, and they weren't physically able to even clear it out, so someone is helping them market it.

I've been thinking about making them an offer on it for a while and was disappointed to see the $10k ask on it today :( I was gonna pitch $1000-2000 and tow it away.

Someone is likely getting a little greedy, but they're impossible to find in this part of the world, they might even get the price.

Actually, 1 km = .62 mile (approx), but who's quibbling....

Tell the kids/grandkids to get the car running, drive it to Toronto and consign it in the Collector Car Productons fall auction:

    http://www.ccpauctions.com/

From what I've seen from the auction results, people in TO are used to over-paying for houses, cars - in fact, just about everything. ;)

Sounds like some kids/grandkids have did a little research and see how desirable these are now.

That was like when I spotted my '72 Kingswood Estate wagon setting in an old ladies garage. I begged her for 7 years to sell me the car. She finally did sell it to me back in 2007. She originally wanted $6000, but came down to $4000, which was $2000 too much IMO. I guess her son did a little research hence the $6000 original price. When she first called me, I thought she would say about $1500... I about fell over when she said $6000. lol. I paid $4k, invested about $2000 and still needs about $2000 in bodywork. :(
