The drain tube for the cowl that goes behind the driver's fender is rotted. Has anyone made a suitable replacement? What did you use?

I used scrap rubber cut to fit slightly larger than the hole ('72+ just covers the hole, never seen one that large before) with some windshield adhesive to hold the upper part in place.

Does that fit into the drain, or just over the drain?

There is a metal plate that screws into the cowl. The rubber slips through the hole of the plate and then sandwiches between the plate and the cowl when the plate is screwed in.

Also, the on on the passenger side is in good shape, but the hole is much lower than on the driver side.

Ah, OK. I generally don't do body work.
