This is actually hypnotizing, and though the scale makes the cars 'crash' more, their reactions (including the flying open hoods) are very close to real Hollywood crashes.

Wow! Almost 9 minutes well spent watching this on a 40 inch monitor. Someone really had it in for the green Chevelle, seems to have been in half the scenes.

I'd wager it had certain crash and/or roll characteristics. The PI Mustang sure was stable in chases.

I agree that was quite hypnotizing! I remember seeing a article about a young boy with autism that did this sort of thing, makes me wonder if this is one and the same? Anyway quite interesting to say the least!.....1\64 Longroof Crashes Rule!

That was a large portion of my childhood caught on film! :thumbs2::thumbs2::thumbs2:

Where did he get that yellow 76 Le Mans wagon seen at 0:09 and again at 2:05?????
Diecast wagons are few, but an A-Body? I have never seen one from any manufacturer.

You need to look up Greenlight and Auto World. Greenlight has a “station wagon” series. There are probably 10 of those Le Mans wagons with and without wood. The 69 Plymouth wagon getting knocked about is from the same series. BTW there are also several Le Mans 4 doors in a variety of police, and regular applications. Greenlight and AutoWorld are exceptionally good models. I too would hate to tell you the hours of pushing Matchbox cars around in the dirt.

Or taking pliers to the various cop cars, "Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo"-style, to make them look 'crashed.....'

    Thanks, 60Mercman.
Right after my last post, I hit up the search again and found the Greenlight Estate Wagon series.
The 6 model "series 4" set just arrived yesterday along with an extra 77 Lemans Safari in blue and woodgrain to open and have out on my desk. Its too bad that the 76 Grand Lemans is only in red without woodgrain, or yellow with hubcaps but the 77 is close enough. Never thought I would ever see a die cast of my wagon!
I also have the 77 Le Mans Police Interceptor arriving next week.
I am one happy "big kid" right now.

If you are really wanting the wheelcovers there is a Bavarian creme ‘76 wagon with wood with standard wheelcovers. There is also another ‘76 due out with the fancier wheelcovers in Sandstone. Lol 3B303E49-C9DE-439B-9999-D9ECEF62E709.png

I'm scouring a couple sites and seeing what is out there now and putting together a wish list.

Diecast direct is a great website. They usually have a good inventory and also keep you posted on new issues.

Thank you for this amazing video footage that helped me forget I am 63 years old. I will admit and get out of the closet that yes I still like playing with toy cars. It does sometimes worry my gal of 18 years but she just reminds me that females are generally more mature than us guys at any age. Thanks for sharing and cheers.

I would just like to mention, while we are on the topic of small scale die cast wagons. Are there any 1971-1976 full size Chevy wagons out there, other than the 1973 Chevy full size wagon by Johnny Lightening. I already have four copy's of that one. I have a 1974 Chevrolet Caprice Estate and it would just be magic, to be able to find something like my big size version. Any leads would be very greatly appreciated. Cheers.
