Wait till you have her up and going, then have to leave her home when attending things - that is even tougher. We camp with a very old cat, the last of our fur kids, he's 17 and winding down. My wife gives him dialysis twice a day, thus he has to travel with us when we go camping and to vintage trailer and car events. Well, vintage trailer and camping - he does not do well in the wagon so we use the truck. A/C, smoother quieter ride, what ever it takes to make the trip less ardous for the little guy. He does well, is fun to have along actually, and is very interested in what is going on around him while traveling and in the campground and sticks to me like glue. I guess because the wife is the giver of pills and dialysis I'm the "safe" one to be around as all I give are goodies, skritches, and he curls up with me at night when in the trailer and keeps me warm. We know the time will come (sadly, soon) when we won't have the issue, but in the meantime the wagon sits (oh well, it's not quite ready to go yet for this year anyway) and the truck gets a work out. Fannie - once your wagon is done you will be amazed at how people react to it. We notice women and kids really look, and young guys and gals. The muscle car group (typically 30's plus males) for the most part seem uninterested unless it is something unique. Your Beaumont will probably fit into the uniques category since they are very pretty cars when done. Just think of all the money you are saving on wax and detailer, and how stiff and sore one gets after polishing their wagon before, during and after every trip, show and before tucking her away till the next time you use it. That is one LONG roof to wax on a regular basis, your arms and shoulders will get a good workout. Got any pictures to share of the latest?
This is the trany on the floor, sorry it's sideways. This is the firewall with everything removed. I'll be removing all that grease when hubby's done grinding the frame, don't want to be in the way. The green paint showing through is like new under the grease.
great that your getting some done there Fannie so...i ass u me....that your shooting for next year for here debut?
I hate to say it out loud(or print) cause stuff happens to get in the way when I do. So as Saf as pointed out we'll focus only on the next step and see where we finish.
Between all the house stuff, family stuff and a little vacation hubby has been able to grind the rust off the front section of the frame. And today he got it painted. Very slow but still moving.
You guys have been busy. It shouldn't be a chore, it should be a hobby, and if it takes a longer than you'd originally thought what the heck, you need to live your lives and this just fills in the holes.
Thanks Saf you always have kind, supportive things to say. She is our hobby and she already has taken longer then I thought, but then I always want everything yesterday. However one thing at a time and we'll get her done.
Is there any project that does not take longer than planed? ....I'll be dead 10 years before I'm finnished my projects
My wife says I have way more projects than I have life left to live I think it's usually a "guy thing" but then along comes Fannie to prove it is just in our blood, it isn't male specific, we are born to it "
