I used to own an upholstery shop in Victoria back in the late 60s, and have always done my own car work. Mom taught me to use her big industrial Pfaff, and I made it pay!(y)

A buddy of mine owns a few properties and a moving company, and... about 10 or 12 vehicles. One is a 1989 Jaguar. He had the leather upholstery all redone - $5,000. Not reinstalled, just redone. Good money for a week's work.

Furniture isn't as profitable unless you're doing stuff for TV or movie studios or some antique repair shops. The really high-end ones are usually not even listed locally. I ran one in Vancouver. We made old english and scottish replicas. We had a showroom full of typical pieces. No pricetags. One Chippendale chair went for $1,100. The captain's chairs with arms were $1,500. The table was $10,000. Plus Delivery charges on each piece. We'd do about $5 million annually in sales. 3 staff, 6 master craftsmen. 4 delivery people - kid gloves cabinetmakers to assemble in the homes. Interior Designers and Architects are the crowd to build up business. Good work always speaks for itself. We didn't advertise either.

So with some of lifes distractions going on Fannie kinda got side tracked . Hubby has the rearend back together and all grinded and painted. He is getting motivated to get under and start grinding before putting the rearend back on.
The Texas quarters are actually lying inside the car, no other place to put them and they're out of the way. Once we have wheels back on her I think we'll send her out to have the quarters wielded on...:p That's all for now.
