Someone should buy it and redo the cargo area with acres of red carpet------------------ Or black. Decent looking with average damage. Rear seats look nice with silver duct tape for contrast.

1954 was the first year for the new 'Y-block' OHV V8. Made a big 130 hp - only 15 more than their in-line 6.

This one's apparently lost it's 'wood' trim along the way. Sort of surprised the seller mentions nothing about it. People are going to ask...... In fact, not much info at all in the ad text.

My second car was a 1954 Ford Customline 2 dr sedan........... As I did with my first car, I turned it into a mild custom. I removed the door and trunk handles, using VW starter solenoids to pull the latches open. Removed most chrome and even cut a few feet from the rear bumper center, replacing it with a home made roll pan section. Removed the center grille bullet. Lowered the car and added fender skirts. What made it go fast were the white fuzzy dice and rear view mirror white fuzzy cover. Temporarily replaced by white baby shoes.:biglaugh:
New 1957 Cadillac hubcaps, wide white wall tires, red rims, custom seat covers from Western Auto, duel exhaust, and chrome tips added the cool factor.
I can see me and my young bride cruising the neighborhood!

At 239 cubes, that was a tiny displacement. Only 9 cubes larger than the standard '63 Biscayne six. One could always replace it with a Thunderbird 292

You asking me? Sadly years back I didn't take many photos and the few times I did those have been lost or tossed out. I do remember a few photos of the blue 1954 Ford but have no idea if they are still around. It appears few in our families were into taking photos very much.:camera:
I remember my 1954 Ford was okay but not a real rubber burner. I killed it when around 100 miles from home with the trunk and back seat full of Model A parts, the car lost oil pressure. It showed full but if I added a quart of heavy oil it carried oil pressure for maybe 25 miles. I kept adding and got home with no apparent problems. When I started it the next morning it knocked after warming up.
I did the logical thing, filled it with fresh 30W, drove a few miles to the Nash dealer, traded on a slightly used VW. Never got a call!:badwords:
