The trans (TH250) in all three 83s were still the originals, all with over 100K on the clock. Really very similar to a TH350 with a band and adjuster added By contrast, the TH200 in my second coupe gave about 40K on a fresh rebuild...although it was a V6 (229) trans behind a truck 350. Was very mindful of it's poor reputation, and one COLD day in January2009, it just said "no more" and that was that. So like an idiot, I sold the car, despite having a good TH250 that would have gone right in. Too many cars at the time (I thought).
