ok here we go. I have a 1983 country squire with a 302. It is a fuel injection car with the EEC3 system on it. I am currently wrestling with the idea with either leaving this injection system on it or going completely dinosaur and putting a carb on it. If there is a way to make this EEC3 system perform better in all performance sectors (fuel millage, acceleration,) could someone let me know. The carb and everything else is increasing in price and trying to keep this whole thing low, though I know it probably wont happen that way. Thank you!
Don't know if their EEC3 documents will help, but here they are: http://www.glendinningprods.com/eec.html You might look on the Mustang and Fords magazine website too. http://www.mustangandfords.com/index.html A carbed 302 has higher compression than an EFI engine, IIRC, so your acceleration will take a dive. I think your MPG would too.
