i have a old 77 fury wagon. the cam broke ( plastic ) i am trying to look for another one but i am unable to find
anything.. i can find motors , bushings etc. but i can't find the parking cam kit.. and if i do find one, how do i know which one i need ? i have heard there is 2 different types..
what is the part technically called and where can i find or buy one.
last time i bought one was about 15 yrs ago.. now they seem to have turned into unobtainium...

help i can't drive when its raining now..

You can't find a complete drive unit? Rebuilt this one at a later date?

Find a junkyard that uses a Hollander interchange. Don't google Hollander; all they do is attempt to sell you an interchange. Find out which '70s and possibly '80s vehicles use the same complete drive, and look for a usable unit, either at junkyards, or through C/L, ePay, etc.

I'll take a look in one of my Chilton books, see what I can find.

Right off, I think I found the difference: concealed and non-concealed. Which are yours?

    what is Hollander interchange ?
i think mine are concealed , they are slightly below the lip of the hood..
i don't need the whole unit. the motor still works.. i just need the plastic cams that are under the rotating arm, that connects to the transmission arms.

Then you want the cams for concealed wipers. But I looked on ePay, and all that was available were complete motors. Hollander is a set of books or DVDs that tell you what parts are the same between models and model years.

that's all i am finding on the net is complete motors less the cam sections.. so a new motor is of no help..
i'll see what the hollander shows..

What really sucks is they were so cheaply made, most radiator shops can't fix them, even if they wanted to.
