Still has the Cali plates - "flipper" it is. This might bring higher money if better optioned, but the lack of PW, seat and locks hurts. It's still a nice '76 Buick wagon but probably not $7900.

So the question is, is it just a complete flip or was it cleaned and did it have fluids flushed and changed in the mean-time along with other maintenance?

The answer to that is almost always a resounding "no" in my experience. Maybe they wiped it down a few places here and there or fixed something that was obviously wrong.

As for flipping, seems most ask double the price. May not be too bad of a deal, if the car is near you, it did get transported from California.

Oh well. It would have been a nice thing if they only changed and if all well to do, flush the fluids.

If seller bought it simply to transport from California to Florida to try to flip, and that appears to be the case based on the time frame, he would have no incentive to do any maintenance to it. Ad mentions it needs a windshield but I cannot see a crack. It's a nice looking Buick but the $4500 sales figure from before is probably a more realistic value.

Here it is. I finally found it. Yes, this 1976 did sell for around $18,000 on eBay two or three years ago and supposedly went to Europe. We have not seen it since. It really is the gold standard at this point for original 1970s GM clamshell wagons. The pics should be saved on the forum, but I don't know how to do it. Thanks to those with more technical expertise! It really appears to be a museum quality 40 year old wagon. :yahoo: Original Jacksonville FL car - clearly garage kept - not a hint of salt or sun damage.

It's loaded with the following equipment:

Mechanically, this little beauty runs and drives beautiful. The engine compartment is all stock and very clean. This car always starts right up and floats down the road like new. This is an ultra rare classic car that is only going up in value as time goes on. All in all, this is a beautiful car that needs nothing to drive, enjoy and go to car shows in. This car is amazing condition and these wagons very hard to find and very sought after.
