Well this is finally one that is NOT too far away from me... about 25-35 miles away, but my dream FMC wagon is either a Colony Park or Country Squire. If it were a Colony Park, I would scramble to get some $ to buy it. :) On the other hand, there is a nice Pontiac wagon in my state, but lack of $ stops me from that one. lol.

Awesome, you never see these things anymore. You never see base model Monterey sedans either. Always the Marquis, Marquis Brougham, or Grand Marquis. What was the step below a Monterey? Oh yeah, walking across the street to the Ford dealer and ordering a Custom, LOL!!!

I'd love a plain black on black 69-70 Monterey sedan. I could lose some weight and pretend to be Jack Lord all the time.

Nope, the original McGarrett "Book 'em Danno! Murder One!" car was a top 'o the line '68 Park Lane Brougham. :tiphat:

Yep, later succeeded by this '74 Marquis Brougham. :D

Yup, the '68 one would run off and leave that '74 in a drag race. 1968 428 CID vs. 1974 460 CID....no contest. :)

Right, but I don't like the 67-68 interiors...the 69-70 dash is just awesome...

This is a really beautiful wagon, and not a model that you see often at all. Hopefully someone who loves Mercury will end up with her. For sure, the cruise and delay wipers were both rare options on the base Monterey wagon back then. Cruise wasn't even all that common on the Colony Park.

Sad thing is, this car is only about 25 miles from me... too bad it is not a Colony Park or Country Squire, because I would really want it... if I had money that is. ;)

May be rare, have a couple od options for a plain jane but way over priced IMO based on pics provided......

Love the drivers seat, that is nice upholstery:disagree: and the air cleaner on the back seat just doesn't give a vote of confidence.

Agree that the price needs to drop, but this one is so rare that it deserves to be saved. And is that not a factory digital clock in the upper right of the pic, just right of the passenger side mirror remote? In 1973? That's wild.

By the way, I see the first '74 Marquis Brougham with McGarrett pic that I posted has dropped for some reason, so here goes again. :)
