Welcome to the Nuthouse we call home! The Dodge is beautiful, but that Torino is something special. There are not many Torino wagons still around, especially so very basic as yours. Most were used hard and scrapped early. Personally, I think the rims look better painted black with the poverty caps. Painted body colour never did seem quite right to me, unless you put trim rings on, and then you might just as well have had full covers. If you put a full tank of gas in her, you should do between 250 and 300 miles of town driving on a tank. Get everything set and tuned right, and you can coax more like 500 miles out of a tank. Do the required upgrades, and you will be able to get more like 700 miles out of a single tank of gas. Not too shabby by any measure. You will find the easiest thing to do to gain mileage is to put on a good dual exhaust system. The single 2 inch chokes the engine. A proper dual 2 1/4 inch system with good flowing mufflers, even with the factory exhaust manifolds, will gain you a good 20 horsepower and 4 to 5 miles to the gallon. Make sure to have an "X" cross over installed, though, to improve savaging and to equalize back pressure should one of the mufflers get damaged. Also, make certain that the exhaust outlets come out the side of the car, behind the rear wheels, NOT under the back bumper. That can suck exhaust into the passenger compartment with deadly results.
Feel free to expand on you other car, we have a thread for that too... http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=35 Ecellent! aboard.
