Clamshell cruiser, I'm so glad you are going to try to buy this one. I was planning to fly on out tomorrow and buy this just to save it, but I don't want it or need it. You made me happy with the news of your intentions. Save this worthy Olds!

    David :)

No response, too bad. I will contact my friend, and see what he can do for me. Since I am foreign, he might think I am a scammer.

In the last couple of years another boardmember here from The Netherlands is looking for a '75 Buick Electra Park Avenue, but almost all people that had one for sale on CL never responded.

The phone number is in the ad in the user profile.

By rights that car should be sold by now.

This car is sold. Did anyone here wind up with it?

I tried to get in touch, however, no luck. No phone, no e-mail. Hate that.

Now it says "Make me a reasonable offer" in the ad. I admit that's a really nice color combination. Does it have the third seat and what engine is in it?

Oh and I once tried (or I thought I was trying) to sell my 1984 Chevrolet Caprice Classic for $995. Three people looked at it and didn't buy it and we stopped trying, Then I started driving it more.

There it is! Wonder what reasonable offer means?

If looks don't deceive, the small chrome piece at the C-pillar suggests this car once had a vinyl roof. And it looks to be a 6-seater. I remember talking with the one-time owner, who was French, a couple of years ago. I think he said it was a 2-seater.

Possibly. Here's the only photo of a 1971-76 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser with a vinyl roof I could find. The fact that this '72 clearly used to have wood grain sides which are now gone, means it also could have had a vinyl roof too!! :yup:

I contacted the seller bij phone, and he was friendly. The car belongs to his daughter, and is in need of some work. Basic things for an old car, plugs, wires etc. He is going to send me some more pictures. There was not much known about the history of this car. I like it, and I think I will make him an offer. I contacted a guy in LA who will take care of the shipping. So I am awaiting response from both. I will be in the US in september, and maybe I drive it to Oregon. We will see.
