1970's Pontiac Safari 2dr Wagon??

Actually the 89 Turbo T/A's were the Faster than even the GNX's, and I think the new Corvette's are even faster, but no dought they are all quick cars.

And as for putting 350 or 305 V-8's in at the factory, they never put them in the Vega or Astre Body style, the only engine options were the Vega 2.3 four cylinder in 71-77, the 2.5 Iron Duke 77-79, the 2.0 Cosworth 4 cylinder in 74-76, And the 3.8 buick V-6, or 3.0 chevy V-6 in 78-79.

They did offer 262, 305, and a few 350's (California only, and they actually made less HP than the 48 State 305's of the same years) in the Monza, Sunbird, Starfire, Skyhawk Bodies in 75-79, the V-8's were gone in the last year of production in 1980, even the Monza Spiders & Sunbird Formula's could be had with the 3.8 Buick V-6 as the top engine.

I also own a 77 Astre Formula HB, that is getting a 383 Chevy to replace the mighty 2.5 iron duke it came with. Here are a couple of shots of it as it sits now, complete with Earl Sheive paint job, and a factory shot of what it supossed to look like, you know they even offered the Formula package in the wagon's for 77, I have been sent some old pic's of one.
