The rear diff is from an early 70's Maverick. They are 1.75'' narrower than the stock Chevy unit. This allows me to run a deeper offset on the rear wheels. Also give me the convenience of a drop out 3rd member. I am currently running 2.79 gears with a posi.
This is an electric emergency brake actuator made by E Stopp. Getting rid of the hand brake mechanism under the dash freed up some valuable space.
I bent and flared all the brake lines as needed. Tried to keep everything as neat and compact as possible.
I fabricated the exhaust system from scratch using mandrel bends purchased from Summit. The Magnaflow cross flow muffler tucks up out of the way nicely. Everything has been ceramic coated as well. High and tight keeps things clean and neat.
A March front drive system was selected for the LS6. Everything is clear powder coated for easy maintenence.
Dash turned out well. The gauge cluster is a Dakota Digital, audio is Kenwood and Vintage Air for heat and cold.
The radiator is from Entropy designed especially for the LS conversion. Using a single 2600 cfm Spaul fan assembly. I have this same setup on my other Nova and in works quite well.I made the mounting brackets to dress up the top of the radiator as well as mount the fan assembly.
The color is Desert Khaki from a late model Subaru Crosstrek. I call it sagebrush. After having a black car, I wanted something that wouldn't show dust very well and easy to touch up if needed. This is a solid color, no pearl or metallic.
The original rear seat is a one piece bottom and a one piece back. The back folds forward for increased cargo area. I wanted a split back rear seat for more options. I used Later Tahoe 3rd row seats and had to narrow them each 3'', bottoms and backs.
I fabricated an air box that houses the air filter and cut a hole in the core support to access cold outside air in place of under hood warmer air. The coolant recovery tank is mounted on the opposite side.
