Does anyone have an AMC Pacer wagon?

It's amazing what u can find when trolling the internet.

This guy wants C$13,000 for his Pacer. Another person doesn't like Pacers

I still remember the advertising: the first wide small car.

I always liked the Pacers. A little more room than my Eagle.

If he wants to get that $13,000 for it,he needs to Pledge or Armor-All the woodie himself...And soon, before it all peels off...

Isn't $13,000 a little steep for a Pacer not in the best of condition?
That said, I've always had a soft spot for the car. It often appears on lists of 'The World's Twenty Worst Cars,' but I don't think that's entirely fair.

I like those. With the rust and bad woodgrain it's more like a 1,500-2,000 dollar car.

Click the link that says Pacer in the first post. It is the one for 13,000 not the one in this thread. Yes Norman it's the one with the new rear. I need to lift the front a little to match the new springs.

I think, that more often than not, those Worst Car Lists are based on personal prejudices and misinformation. Pintos end up on them, because "they'll ALL explode in big a$$ balls of fire if you kick them too hard". Aspen/Volares end up on them,,,just because they're Chrysler products I suppose. And despite that,at least here in SoCal,many of them were still on the road all the way into the 21st century. No va is Spanish for "no go",so they're usually on the lists too... Many people(even at least one car critic for the LA Times)who've been Toyota and/or Datsun/Nissan fans since the early 70's are willing to admit that those companies put out some rather sour lemons from time to time,,,they are NEVER on the lists.
