New pics with a partial detail. Same spiel about rarity, etc, etc.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974...4279553?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2ebde33481

Showed one of the old pix so you would remember
it! He wants #1 Old Car Price Guide money for it. Nice car but I just couldn't give this guy what he wants. From the past few times on eBay I have grown to not trust the guy.
OK...so the LAST winning bidder had a death in the family and couldn't buy iy. But hey...you can call him to verify that.....probably the same buddy of his that was giving him grounders in the question section of the last go around. And kept telling him what a great car it is, etc, etc.

This car looks much cleaner than the last time if I remember correctly. Ad needs the under hood and under body pics like the 77 Estate seller posted if he ever wants to get to whatever his reserve price might be. Personally, I'd prefer the 77 car to this one. Are interior dimensions similar between the 74's and the 77's? How much less did the 77 downsized model weigh?

The guy who had a death in the family paid him $1,000 for his troubles. Nice car, WEIRD guy. It is loaded but you will never get what he wants out of it. I like the green chevy clamshell thats on ebay better

There was some questioning in the last thread about the tilt-and-telescope steering wheel. I couldn't find a '74 Buick catalog with the info, but the '75 catalog does list a tilt-and-telescoping wheel as an option, so I assume it was available in '74 as well.

I didn't know that there were clamshells with a rear window defroster, nice.
What is that thing underneath the mirror and how does it work?

The last buyer was probably his buddy across town. trying to up the bid on the car.

Its called Phantom Bidding. Ive seen it a few times. Not so up front but sometimes its brutally obivious. The seller has got to be in on it with the winning bidder.

You just "KNEW " it would be back!!
And the engine compartment is FILTHY!!
I only point that out because of his Ridiculous Reserve.
I'm just Certain I would not enjoy buying a car from someone like
this. I still kept his RUDE e-mails from a month ago when he last had
it on with friends bidding on it! I mean Really............
    my 2 cents!

This thread was a guilty pleasure last month, so thanks!

In this case, I agree, F27. I saw some shenanigans from the first couple of times he listed his car, way back, that were even more blatant. Further, his emails at that time were far worse than those that Mopar wagon Luvr describes. People were talking about this guy way back then.

Ive seen cadillacs with that outside therometer before but never on a Buick. Must have been one of thoes options or dealer add ons.

See fox is right. The guy offers his car for say ..... 1000 bucks. Then he gets a bite from someone for 1000 dollars and and calls his friend and tells his friend to bid 1500 in effort to get someone to up the bid. Someone dose to say .... 1700. Then again he gets his friend on the pjhone and tells him to raise his bid , so his friend bids 2000 dollars. And there it stays. Course his friend dosent want the car and wont pay. So a month or 2 go by and the owner relists the car.

Ebay discourages Phantom Bidding but they cant stop it. Its unfair, but what can you do. Life is unfair.

You can see the bid history on the sold items. I did this and have spotted Phantom Bidders that way.

Thermometer mirror is a factory option for Buick starting in 1974

Had that outside thermometer on a 79 Buick Park Ave. Neat toy. Lights up at night too!
