This Excalibur replica just turned up on Kijiji. One of the nicest I've seen. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...r-Replica-Roadster-Kit-Car-W0QQAdIdZ281515655
It's not my style, but to each is own. The father of a kid I went to school with, used to work at Zimmer Motors in Fort Lauderdale back in the early 80's. I remember his dad dropping him off for school in a blacked out AMC Matador with custom fiberglass side skirts. It look bad back then. He still has the car today but it is yellow now.
Go all out with a strech Gremlin http://www.tedvernon.com/Gremalibur/1977-Gremlin-Custom-2-door-726TV.asp
Not a big fan of the Excalibur or the Zimmer vehicles. I think they look like they are trying too hard... But I think THIS is beautiful: 1932 Packard Phaeton...
I used to make a 'sport' out of guessing what car the main 'body' came from. I've seen them made from Cougars, T-Birds, Crown Vics, Lincolns, VW Super Beetle convertibles, Monte Carlos, and probably a dozen more. That green one is the first Gremlin I've seen though.....
Here are some more pics of the Gremalibur. It is likes some animals and babies that I have seen... So ugly that they're cute.
1980 Zimmer Golden Spirit Tribute Car Sale Price: $22,500.00 IMO, the back end could use some redesigning.
1983 Zimmer Golden Spirit 2 Door Sale Price: $28,500.00 I like some of the aspects of this one. I got some good pics of it.
I'll bet at least 25% of these that are on the east coast are technically unsafe to drive - and you won't see why from the outside......
Yougly! All of these types cars are cute to me in an ugly sort of way. I'd like to have one if I already had one of everything else I dream about and had a warehouse to keep them in.
I wouldn't mind having one of the Crown Vic ones. But I am like you, Cat, I want at least one of everything else I want and a warehouse to store them in.
A climate controled warehouse with marble and inlaid wood floors like a few I've seen here and on other car forums. My own fleet of mechanics like Jay Leno. Make mine retired Playboy Bunnies and ex-strippers. It's a dream. May as well go big time!
Make mine retired Playboy Bunnies and ex-strippers. It's a dream. May as well go big time! And I will pass on this one. Said Xavier. I'd pass on the cars and just take this option if I had the option! Is this still the Zimmer thread? If so fill mine up with two legged Bunnys.
This poor, innocent, Pontiac Fiero was captured by pirates and given the Zimmer "treatment." Oh, the shame. http://www.autoblog.com/2006/03/26/ebay-find-of-the-day-1986-zimmer-golden-spirit/ http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/081129.html
