Yes. I saw it from the road as I was driving by. Google Earth is not very clear in that area, or I could pinpoint it for you.

Wow, I think Canada has better salvage yards than we do here in my area. We have 2 salvage yards in the area that I frequent. Both just crushed almost everything pre-1980s. Enough to bring tears to a glass eye.

We've got the same syndrome in bigger cities and provinces (states), but here in the Prairies, better pickings.

But you should check out the two Dakotas and Montana. Lots of good project cars.

I always wondered if they were actually out there or if they were just myths. You always hear about prairie and desert wrecking yards, but it's nice to see some photographic of some, even if they're a bit to the north!

Yes the Chevies are nice, but in the same row, check out the hearse towards the end. Looks like a '48 or '49 Caddy. That's the one I want!!!!

The Peace River yard has been crushed out I believe. The other yard in Saskatchewan is not a wrecking yard, but he looks around for cars to resell. I have no contact info for him though.

That is a strange looking 53 Chevy. Looks like a sedan delivery that somebody put windows in. Never seen anything like it. I have seen lots of sedan deliveries, but without windows.

Those would be an aftermarket window for sure. Sometimes people bought them and decided they needed the vision more than the panel! :)

Tis sad to know the P.R. yard is empty and even sadder to know the majority got squished... i got several cars out of there and several truck box's full of parts before then but there was still sooooooooo much left. Im friends with the two previous owners but when the new guy bought in all he saw was metal money. I have LOTS of pictures of that yard, here are a couple.

    RIP!

All those fun days gone... Truly sad.

We've got lots out here still. And you can bet your last lugnuts, I'll be making it a weekly ritual. Even made a wheeled cart to haul tools and parts up and down the aisles.:biglaugh:

aint that the truth! i was there for the month of May of '08 and i scouted every day in the lower part of the island. I found some cars but not once did anyone call me back when i left countless notes and when they did answer the door, it was ALWAYS "not for sale"... and once "DEFINITELY not for sale. I called and talked and put up ads and worked harder than ever with zero results because everyone was cashing in at the crusher! Finally just before i left for home i ended up buying a 67 Falcon 4dr parts car for my 66 Futura S/C project... whew
