USA Coke is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup these days. Originally they used cane sugar. South American Coke is sweetened with cane sugar. Overseas, sweetness can come from sugar beets, cane sugar, ethylene glycol, who knows? I live on Diet Coke.
as a general rule...i dont like to drink things i cant pronounce. they sell coke elsewhere (out side the usa) in glass bottles. in the usa it comes in plastic bottles. i like the tall glass bottles from Mexico, the coke just tastes better when made with real sugar and is in glass. we can get the Mexican coke in certain places around here, and i buy it every once in a while as a treat. it takes me back to my childhood. i honestly think that high fructose corn syrup is a major player in the obesity problem here. in the 90's when everyone switched to HFCS is when it seems everyone really started to pork up...myself included.

What better way to turn us into babbling overweight idiots who are weak and diabetic ! Then take over the world.
