During the day I drink mostly water and the occasional tea. After a workout, I usually have a chocolate milk, which helps with muscle rebuilding.
I can't believe it. You guys are off topic. MORNING POISON!!! Mornings end around 10AM give or take a few hours. After my first two cups of black Folgers decaf it's a large glass of iced tea. I nurse it till lunch around 1PM. Then it's more iced tea, unsweetened of course or a Pepsi. Later it is more tea or iced water. These are 32 ounce mugs so are much more than a glass. Supper, which is dinner to you rich dudes, is more tea or white milk. Maybe about now in the evening I may have nuther hot black coffee to keep me going. Or white milk. I'm retired. Don't do anything on schedule. Summers it's a beer for fuel when working outside. When out partying it may be a few beers, soda, or coffee.
When I was back home, I was a 24/7 Dr Pepper guy. I would but the 6 pack of 24oz'ers and that would last me 2 days. Back then, I could drink a pot of coffee and fall asleep, wake up several times just to wazz. Now, with no Dr Pepper in this rotten country, I dont drink mych soda, which with that and a true organic food diet, I have gone from 237lbs to 174 in less hen 7 months. I drink alot of water and the occasional RC Cola, I hate Pepsi and despise Coke. But now I have 1 cup of Foldgers in the morning and within 15 minutes of finishing my 18oz Summit Racing cup full, I break out into a sweat and get all wound up. Then I have another in the mid afternoon and if we are on a movie marathon, I have another around 9-10pm to stay awake to watch movies. Amazing how drinking soda all the time will make me immune to caffeine, but a month without it and one cup will have me sweating and bouncing off the walls. Now I am so dependent on the crap that I cant function without it after I wake up. But I am slimmer and have a ton more energy without the soda in my life. But BOY, what I wouldnt give to have me some Dr Pepper right now!
Hey... my morning STARTS at 11:30 AM Past month or so its been a big mug of hot chocolate. My ulcer has been saying nuh uh to coffee. Makes me feel awful. I gave up caffeine sodas last year, so I may as well be done with it once and for all. Another addiction put to rest. Bye.
I am with Frannie, I am a water drinker, after about 10 am coffee until then, (alarm goes off at 6:45 for work) I am drinking water only, until about 8:00 pm. or so then it's beer beer beer then bed bed bed...get up and start over.
I am pretty particular about my coffee. But first I do drink tea. Tea, Earl Grey, Hot. English Breakfast Tea, Green Tea, Peppermint/chamomile... I like variety. Now for my coffee. We don't tend to have a preference but we don't usually go for the mainstream brands like Folgers or Maxwell House unless we have to. My first cup of the day has milk and sugar, I drink about half then add more coffee. After that I drink it black until the pot is empty. On occasion we will have our coffee over ice which seems to be a coffee sin to some... I NEED MY COFFEE!!! No one likes me when I haven't had my coffee!
Did I mention I hate coffee? Got addicted to it when working outside in winters in Illinois. Still hate it but drink it. It helps me wake up in the mornings. It helps to keep me awake in evenings. It warms me up when I am cold. But I hate that crappy black stuff! Hate it more with sweetners in it! Damned I better have another cup of coffee!
I'm almost out of my first pot so I am thinking I might make more. I like to make it on the stove sometimes because then I can make it super strong... Mmmmmmmmm, cooooooffffffeeeeeeee!
sounds like finals "super coffee" i made in college. auto drip, brew a 12 cup pot put in a fresh filter and grounds in the basket then pour the coffee you just made in the reservoir ! then it brews with coffee and doubles the horsepower!!!
When I do it on the stove I use only 2 cups of water and as much freshly ground coffee as I would use for a 12 cup pot. I use a grounds basket to contain the grounds and let stay in the water until I can't see the spoon past a millimeter or two below the surface. That will kick ya in the @$$.
